All Smartstart®
segments and crowns incorporate the very latest
in self-dressing and smooth starting technology.
The'V' shaped top of the segment, incorporates
a soft upper layer to allow immediate diamond
exposure and a vibration free instant alignment
starting. The angled top of the crown contains
and provides the same Smartstart features.

Diamond Wire
Cutting with wire is an excellent alternative to sawing
or stitch drilling. The major advantage with this technique
is that there are in principle no limits as regards
cutting depth. Another advantage is that the noise level
is significantly lower.
The Dimas 700 series is a sintered wire with a high
concentration of high quality diamonds. The wire bead's
construction of diamonds and matrices means that new
diamonds are continually exposed as the bead is worn.
This produces a high and even cutting throughout the
lifetime of the wire. The area separating the individual
beads comprises a plastic covered spiral spring which,
together with the plastic coating, constitutes a compact,
flexible and wear-resistant construction which counteracts
sideways deflection of the beads. These properties mean
that Dimas has a range well suited to cutting reinforced
concrete with varying degrees of hardness.
The range also includes an electroplated wire where
the bead comprises an outer layer of diamonds only.
This type is best suited for cutting softermaterials
or for highly reinforced concrete.
